Fisherman Dangerously Crossing Mekong, Laos

| April 15, 2012

Thanks to the Eden Channel and the Human Planet TV show I found this amazing photo showing how a fisherman crosses the flooded Meekong river in Laos.  So amazing I had to share it!

This photo is awesome, you wouldn’t catch me crossing the river that way. Do you think that will pass health and safety standards here in the UK?

    • Chris says:

      Hi Carl,

I would have to be seriously loaded up with inflatables and blow up arm bands before even considering crossing the river. Even if I were wearing a life jacket I would have to think twice. I’ve spent some time around the Meekong River and event at times when it isn’t flooded I wouldn’t like to go swimming in it.

Na, I think it was photoshopped. Easier that way!

Thanks for your comment, I will pass that onto the photographer. You should watch the video and you might be convinced!
